Thursday, April 24

Beach Day

9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Sofitel Barú Calablanca

Optional pre-wedding day trip to enjoy the Caribbean. We’ll meet at a pier in Cartagena and take a boat to a private spot on one of the most beautiful beaches in Barú and spend a relaxing day together. Transportation, hotel pool access, lunch, and a cocktail will be provided. Please note that this event has a cost of $100 per person. Send payments to @danimartinwedding on Paypal to reserve your spot. Please select “for friends and family.” More info to come!
Please note: Beach Day payments made after February 1st may result in an increased cost of $125.

Dress Code
Beach attire: Swimsuits, sandals, coverups, and sun protection.

Friday, April 25

Optional Introductory Salsa Lesson

Our salsa instructors from Bogotá will be teaching basic steps and moves to prepare everyone to dance at the wedding!

Dress Code
Comfortable clothes. Bring a pair of socks to wear during class.

Welcome Party

5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Movich Cartagena de Indias

We’ll officially kick off the wedding weekend with a welcome party on the rooftop of the Movich Hotel, which features the best view of Cartagena. Join us for hors d'oeuvres, drinks, speeches, and an open mic night at sunset. Please note that this event will not include a sit-down dinner, although there will be plenty of food.

Dress Code
Tropical Semi-Formal: Short or long dresses with comfortable heels or dressy sandals, button-ups or button-downs and chinos with dress shoes.

Saturday, April 26

Wedding Ceremony & Reception

4:15 pm - 3:00 am
Casa Conde de Pestagua

The ceremony will be followed by cocktail hour, dinner, and lots of dancing. Come prepared to party and stay up into the early morning!

Dress Code
Tropical Formal: Suits with dress shoes or longer dresses and gowns with comfortable heels or dressy sandals you can dance in. For those wearing dresses, bright colors and fun textures are highly encouraged - see this Pinterest board for inspiration. Linen, silk, and other lightweight, natural fabrics can help with the heat. The bridal party will be wearing red. No flip flops or shorts please.

Farewell Brunch

Join us back at the wedding venue for coffee and a coastal Colombian breakfast specialty: arepas de huevo.

Casual: Wear whatever you like :) There is a pool at the house, so bring a swimsuit and towel if you’d like to swim.
