FAQ

When is the RSVP deadline?

Colombia is a bit of a trek for many of you, people we love. We understand making it can present some logistical challenges. We’re incredibly grateful to those who can make it, and completely understand those who are unable - you’ll be there in our hearts and we’re committed to finding another time and place to celebrate together.

If you think you might not be able to make it, we ask that you please let us know as soon as possible! This would help us immensely in finalizing our guest list and making necessary arrangements for the event. For assessing your travel options please see the travel page, and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or if there’s any way we can help.

Can I bring a date?

Due to the limited capacity of our venue, we have carefully planned the guest list to ensure that we can accommodate our closest friends and family and have had to make some incredibly tough calls. As a result, we kindly ask for your understanding in our decision not to extend plus ones or allow for additional guests beyond those explicitly invited.

Are kids welcome?

With the exception of Dani’s three younger cousins, the wedding (Saturday) and the welcome gathering (Friday) will be adult-only. Other activities surrounding those events, like the Thursday beach day and brunch on Sunday, are totally open to kids! If this presents a barrier to you, please let us know. We are happy to help you arrange child care for the day of.

What should I wear wedding? Is there a dress code?

The wedding dress code is “Tropical Formal.” This means suits with dress shoes or longer dresses and gowns with comfortable heels or dressy sandals you can dance in. For those wearing dresses, bright colors and fun textures are highly encouraged - see this Pinterest board for inspiration. The bridal party will be wearing red. No flip flops or shorts please. The weather in Cartagena will be hot, so please keep that in mind when choosing what to wear. Linen and other lightweight, natural fabrics can help with the heat. Refer to the schedule page for detailed dress code guidelines for the other events.

What should I know about traveling to Colombia?

See the travel page.

How late should I plan to stay up?

Weddings go late in Latin America. Sometimes the wedding continues well into the day after?! Curfew in Cartagena is 3 am, but we can keep partying even after the DJ heads home. So be ready to charge. And pace yourself - don’t go too hard the night before!
